What is the ‘CAT4 Non-Verbal Reasoning Course’?
It is an online course that consists of 24 video lessons that comprehensively cover every known Non-Verbal Reasoning question type that could come up in the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT). Who is the course for?
This course is specifically designed for students aged from 9 to 15 that are taking any of the following assessments:
– GL Assessment CAT4
– Cogat Form 7
– Other forms of the Cognitive Abilities Test
Whilst the course is designed for students, it will also prove beneficial for teachers, tutors and parents who wish to understand Non-Verbal Reasoning question types, techniques and syllabus requirements.
How will the course benefit my child?
Cognitive Abilities Tests, such as the GL Assessment CAT4, contain eight modules. These eight modules are split equally across four batteries: Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning.
This video course focuses on the two modules of Non-Verbal Reasoning:
– Figure Matrices & Figure Classification
These two modules account for 25% of your child’s total CAT score.
We’ve analysed them in great detail, breaking the content down into a series of question types. The videos in this course offer a systematic approach to mastering each one. Each video lesson deals with one question type, which is first introduced with an explanation and a worked example.
This is followed by further interactive worked examples, emphasizing specific techniques to deal with each question type in the most efficient manner. Key tips and advice are presented throughout each video lesson.
Finally, there are a number of practice questions for students to try themselves to reinforce and consolidate what they have learnt. These are timed to match the actual exam. Thorough explanations are then provided for each of these practice questions.
This course will most likely introduce your child to all of the possible question types that could come up in their exam. This means that their actual assessment will pose no surprises and that they will not only be familiar with the material but will also be equipped with the tools and techniques to deal with every question confidently, accurately and efficiently.
How long is the course and how can I access it?
The total length of the video lessons in the course is over 19 hours. The video lessons can be watched in any order, as many times as you like.
We have created our own custom video interface that allows users to easily add their own notes to any video and to mark lessons as complete once they have been watched and understood.
