Introduction

Dating back to 1239, High School of Dundee is a high-achieving co-educational day school. It is Dundee’s only private school, occupying seven buildings in the city’s centre. Its alumni list is long and varied, including an impressive number of notable authors, journalists, financiers and scientists. [1]

The curriculum in the Senior School covers an extensive variety of subject areas, such as computing, modern languages, Classics and science, as well as humanities, arts and social sciences. This diverse range allows students to thoroughly explore and nurture their talents while engaging in a comprehensive educational experience tailored to their interests and aspirations.

The co-curricular provision is broad and relevant, aiming to further develop the cohort’s abilities. Choosing from Chinese Club, MUN, photography, CCF, Amnesty International and an array of other pursuits, students maximise their all-round growth in line with the school’s culture of strong achievements. [2]

High School of Dundee is deeply committed to offering its community ample opportunities for cultural and social growth, and as a result, it regularly organises domestic and international trips. Students have embarked on exciting journeys to destinations such as Tibet and Iceland, providing them with exposure to breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
