Introduction
Trinity School of John Whitgift, better known as Trinity School, is an independent day school for boys in Shirley Park, Croydon. It is part of the Whitgift Foundation and has educated an impressive number of notable alumni, including scientists, politicians, military officers and a leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra. [1]
Academically,Trinity aims to challenge pupils, facilitating their intellectual development to maximise their learning capacity. The syllabus is thus rich and varied, introducing the cohort to an array of disciplines relevant to their further education, including MFL, design technology, computing and humanities.
With over 100 co-curricular clubs on offer, Trinity provides a varied non-academic education that underpins the vigour of school life, successfully meeting both high standards and expectations. Ceramics Club, cookery, LAMDA, water polo, Chamber Choir, debating and sailing are just a few of the programme’s many features, expanding boys’ horizons on their journey of self-discovery. [2]
Trinity nurtures moral and spiritual values to secure the emotional well-being of every member of its vibrant community, allowing them to develop healthy competition as part of their character growth. In return, boys acquire strong leadership skills without overlooking the benefits of cooperation, growing in social awareness and confidence on their path towards achieving their goals.
