The ten practice tests are all pitched at the same difficulty level but each one contains unique questions, ensuring your child is familiar with as many different types of questions as possible.
Who are these practice tests for?
They are designed for students preparing for the 7+ exam for entry into Year 3 at Westminster Under School.
How will these practice tests benefit my child?
As you may know, the format of the Stage 1 test for 7+ entry to Westminster Under School changed very recently. The online component of the exam will now consist of Reasoning questions only.
There will be two sections in the new online test: 20 minutes for Verbal Reasoning and 20 minutes for Non-Verbal Reasoning.
We’ve therefore created these new practice tests to help your child prepare for this new exam format.
Each of these new practice tests will consist of two modules just like the actual Reasoning exam your child will face on exam day:
⦾ Verbal Reasoning (20 minutes)
⦾ Non-Verbal Reasoning (20 minutes)
Some key features of the test:
⦾ It will be multiple-choice and there will be a timer on screen.
⦾ Students must answer every question and cannot go back and change their answers.
⦾ Pencil and paper will be allowed for workings out.
We’ve made sure to integrate all of these features in these new practice tests. We’ve also made sure to cover the specific types of Reasoning question types you can expect to come up, including the examples below:
A little bit of targeted practice can massively improve performance and outcomes, especially at this age level.
These practice tests are specifically designed to familiarise your child with the online format, style and content they can expect on exam day, thereby boosting their confidence and maximising their potential. The timings, question types, difficulty level, instructions and layouts are designed to match those of the actual exam. Upon completion of each practice test, your child will feel more confident and prepared for the actual assessment.
Each of the modules can be completed separately. The modules are marked automatically and can then be reviewed with feedback and explanations provided for every question.
Comparative statistics are also provided so you can benchmark your child’s performance against their peer group. These practice tests will also act as diagnostics, allowing you to quickly identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses so you can prepare efficiently.
