What is AAT?

The Adaptive Admissions Test (AAT) is an online assessment used by certain independent schools both in the UK and abroad as part of their selection process. It is typically taken by students in Year 6 or 7. The AAT is created by GL Assessment.

How will these practice tests benefit my child?

These practice tests are tailored to closely mirror the online format, style, and substance of the actual exam. It ensures familiarity with the test’s structure, including timings, question types, difficulty levels, instructions, and overall layout.

Upon completion of these practice tests, your child will feel more confident and prepared for the actual assessment.

There are four modules in each test:

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning
  • Verbal Reasoning

Each module can be completed separately. The modules are marked automatically and can then be reviewed with feedback and explanations provided for every question.

Comparative statistics are also provided so you can benchmark your child’s performance against their peer group.

The practice tests will also serve as a diagnostic tool, aiding you in rapidly identifying your child’s areas of strength and weakness, enabling you to prepare effectively.

You will have the option to take these practice tests with 25% extra time. However, we advise only selecting this option if you are confident that your child will qualify for extra time during the actual test.

TEST DURATION: 4 SEPARATE MODULES WITH A TOTAL DURATION OF 2 HOURS AND 15 MINUTES
