Who is it for?

These practice tests are specifically designed for students taking the Adaptive Admissions Test (AAT).

How will these tests benefit my child?

Verbal Reasoning is one of the four modules in the Adaptive Admissions Test, which is a test created by GL Assessment.

We’ve analysed the full Adaptive Admissions Test Verbal Reasoning syllabus and created specific tests to address all the question types your child needs to cover.

There are 16 different question types that could come up in the exam. These are listed below:

If you’ve taken any of our AAT Practice Test 1, you will have noticed that each Verbal Reasoning question is tagged with the relevant question type from the list above. Therefore, if your child is struggling with a specific question type, you will be able to identify it quickly and then use these new tests to improve these weaker areas.

For each topic, we’ve created three tests:

Level 1 – 18 questions. These are relatively simple questions to help familiarise your child with the key concepts of each question type. Depending on the school you are targeting, your child should aim to score 80-90%+ in Level 1 tests.

Level 2 – 18 questions. These are more challenging questions that require a little more thought and technique. Depending on the school you are targeting, your child should aim to score 70-80%+ in Level 2 tests.

Level 3 – 18 questions. These are advanced questions that represent the upper level of difficulty on the adaptive scale. Depending on the school you are targeting, your child should aim to score 60-70%+ in Level 3 tests.

Click the green button at the top of this page to view all the topics in detail.

Detailed explanations are provided for every single question so your child can learn and improve.

Each test is timed at the pace your child will need to match to do well in the actual exam.

The tests are presented via an interface that uses exactly the same layout and design as the actual exam.

The 48 practice tests included in this product are designed to help your child master Adaptive Admissions Test Verbal Reasoning so they:

– are familiar with every Verbal Reasoning topic that could come up on exam day.

– can answer these questions accurately and efficiently.

– will face no surprises when taking the actual exam.

– can approach this section of the exam with confidence.

Detailed explanations are provided for every single question. This set of practice tests is the most accurate and efficient way to prepare for the Verbal Reasoning  section of the Adaptive Admissions Test.

These practice tests will most likely introduce your child to all of the possible question types that could come up in the Verbal Reasoning module of their exam. This means that their actual assessment will pose no surprises and that they will not only be familiar with the material but will also be equipped with the tools and techniques to deal with every question confidently, accurately and efficiently.

What’s included?

This product contains 48 practice tests, divided by question type and difficulty level. Each test contains 18 questions. There are 864 questions in total.

For each Verbal Reasoning question type, there are three tests of varying difficulty: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

The tests can be taken in any order.

Click the green button at the top of this page to view the Test Plan.

Each test is designed to match the rules of the Adaptive Admissions Test. For example, once a question has been answered, your child cannot go back and change their answer.

Once each test is complete, it is marked automatically. Your child will then be able to review the test, seeing which questions they got correct and incorrect.

Detailed explanations are provided for every single question so your child can learn and improve.

Ranking statistics are also supplied per test so you can gauge your child’s performance compared to their peer group.

There is an option to take each test with 25% extra time. You should only use this option if you are sure your child will qualify for this in the actual test.

Once purchased, these tests can be used immediately in your online dashboard.

Detailed, analytical reports are available upon completion of each practice test.

These reports will provide insights into your child’s strengths and areas for improvement, as well as cohort performance comparison. You will benefit from a clear understanding of your child’s progress and know exactly what to work on next.
