Introduction

Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School is a co-educational grammar school in Ramsgate, Kent. It was formed as a result of the merger of the Chatham House Grammar School (for boys) and Clarendon House Grammar School (for girls) in 2011. [1]

Through a stimulating curriculum, the school aims to inspire a lifelong love of learning, educating pupils accordingly. Lessons are delivered for English, mathematics, science, design & food technology, MFL, geography, history, art, computer science, PE & games, RS, music, drama and PSHE.

A selection of after-class clubs enriches the all-round education on offer. Pupils regularly partake in activities which boost their existing talents and ignite new interests, ranging from gardening club, STEM science club and book club to gender equality club, history club and choir.

The school values each student equally and encourages taking risks and making the most out of the opportunities at hand. Promoting academic excellence within a traditional setting, Chatham & Clarendon Grammar embraces a contemporary approach towards teaching and learning, fully preparing students for the challenges of modern life.

Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School’s standard entry point is 11 Plus. However, the school also accepts applications from pupils interested in In-Year (Late) Entry. To assess pupils for late transfer, Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School administers the CAT4 online test.
