This practice test is specifically designed for students in Year 6 who are preparing for the Primary Insight (INCAS) online assessment created by the Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring (CEM).

Non-Verbal Reasoning is one of the modules that appears in the Primary Insight (INCAS) Assessment. It is part of the Developed Ability section of the test.

In each question in this module, your child will be shown a pattern of dots on the left-hand side of the screen.

Your child will need to click on all the dots in this pattern.

A new pattern of dots will then appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Your child will need to click on the dots in the pattern on the right to form the pattern on the left.

Doing well in this module requires strong pattern recognition and processing skills.

The module is time pressured, meaning your child needs to learn to work both accurately and efficiently.

The Primary Insight (INCAS) Non-Verbal Reasoning question format is unusual and your child will likely not have come across it before.

Some familiarisation and practice can therefore go a long way to improving your child’s confidence and performance.
