Introduction
Based in Somerset, Wellington School is an independent co-ed day and boarding school. It occupies a beautiful 35-acre site and boasts a varied notable alumni list, including distinguished poets, politicians, scientists and entrepreneurs. [1]
Focused on securing both intellectual and cultural proficiency, the curriculum in the Senior School reflects the leadership’s efforts to provide an education that inspires ambition. Accordingly, it features a plethora of relevant disciplines and subject options that boost all-round growth, ranging from languages and mathematics to humanities and technology.
Wellington equally invests in pupils’ non-academic development, placing extracurriculars at the centre of its holistic approach to educating. The acquisition of ‘skills for life’ seems effortless as students explore their capacity for experiential learning, whether it be through far-off expeditions to Dubai and Barbados or Duke of Edinburgh and CCF pursuits and challenges. [2]
Providing a life-changing learning experience, Wellington ensures that leavers access the world beyond school with strong inner confidence. This is mainly due to the care and support they receive during their time on campus, principally aimed at maximising their endeavours to mature intro productive and responsible adults.
