Introduction
Founded in 1902, Kesteven and Sleaford High School (KSHS) is a selective school for girls aged 11-18. Located in Seaford, Lincolnshire, the school has academy status and a coeducational sixth form for students aged 16-18.
The school is a member of the Robert Carre Trust and educates over 800 pupils. KSHS aims to create a safe, stimulating and creative environment for students to learn.

How to Apply for Entry to Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy
KSHS holds an open day and evening for prospective students in the summer term. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend one of these events before applying for a place at the school. They give parents a flavour of the school and teachers are on-hand to answer any questions about the application process.
To book a place at an open event, simply email the Admissions Officer or call 01529 414 044.
All applications for places at Kesteven & Sleaford High School Selective Academy must be made directly with the parents’ Local Authority (LA). Parents who live outside Lincolnshire must apply for a place at KSHS using a different application form, provided by their own LA. Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy CAT4 Assessment (For Late Entry to Years 8-11)
Late entry into Years 8-11 at Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy is possible if the numbers in that year group are below capacity. Any pupil who has not taken an eleven plus selection test in Year 6 can take a Cognitive Ability Test (CAT4) appropriate to their age.
The CAT tests students’ reasoning skills by focusing on verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and spatial reasoning.
Kesteven and Sleaford High School Selective Academy Admissions Criteria
All arrangements for late applications at Kesteven and Sleaford High School are made in accordance with Lincolnshire County Council’s coordinated admission arrangements – including late entry.
Performing well in the CAT will not necessarily result in the offer of a place. Parents are still required to apply for a place via their LA and it should be noted that not every candidate can be admitted.
