Then, in December of Year 6, your daughter will take part in the 13+ Assessment Day. This includes an online entrance exam, an interview and a fun activity. If she is offered a place, you’ll be asked to pay a £2,000 deposit to confirm your acceptance. In Year 8, she will sit the Common Entrance exam, the results of which are used to determine her setting.

At 13+ entry, scholarships are available in the following areas:

– Academic ability

– Art & Design

– Drama

– Sports

– Music

Each scholarship is worth up to £3,000 annually and is awarded based on specific criteria.

Academic scholarship applicants will take exams in English, Maths and Science. They will also be interviewed and undergo additional assessments that test their general knowledge and research abilities. Drama scholarships are granted based on a successful monologue performance, participation in a group workshop and an interview.

For Art & Design, the assessment process includes reviewing a candidate’s portfolio and an interview. Sports scholarships are awarded following, amongst other things, performance-based fitness trials, while Music scholarships are allocated to those who demonstrate excellence in an audition, including sight-reading and aural tests.

Combining scholarships with means-tested bursaries, which are allocated based on financial need and reviewed annually, can significantly increase the total award amount of a scholarship.
